How Faithful are we? To what extent are we Faithful to God?

It is human nature to have confidence in ourselves but entrusting someone else is always tricky as the endgame is never clear.

The one question we need to ask ourselves regularly is if we have entrusted God with our lives wholeheartedly.

What is your life centered around? What or Who is the cornerstone and epicentre of your life? Everything in life should start and end with God, all other things we need in life shall be added unto us by Grace.

We tend to put faith in other beings and things before God, only to our demise as Christians. We then need to introspect God’s feature in our lives. We love God however we are weak because of earthly things which we seek before seeking the Kingdom of God first.

The beatitudes highlight the fact that “Blessed are those who suffer”. We misinterpret the message. God does not want us to suffer in life. God does not enjoy seeing us suffer. However, we should have faith in God that He shall provide sufficient mercies and graces for our Salvation.

As we commission Catechists today, we ought to be reminded that we are commissioned daily as Christians just as the Apostles were commissioned. For one to be commissioned, there ought to be a chosen religious who has already been given the mission. Henceforth, we need to work hand in hand with the Priest as he is the Mission of Christ.

Faith requires us to evangelize and pass on what we have been taught as it is, with no additions or subtractions. We should not betray the Mission of Christ and this can be achieved by entrusting God and ourselves in transparency. We should pass on our Faith in its entirety with no alterations.
